Participant Waiver

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Social Steps Dance Classes ("the Classes") conducted by Jack George ("the Instructor") involves physical activity including dancing, movement, stretching, and warm-up/cool-down exercises. I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to:

• Muscle strains, sprains, or tears
• Joint injuries including to knees, ankles, hips, and shoulders
• Cardiovascular incidents
• Falls or collisions with other participants or property
• Aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions

I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, associated with my participation in the Classes.

2. Medical Fitness

I confirm that I am in adequate physical health to participate in dance and movement activities. I have disclosed (or will disclose before my first class) any medical conditions, injuries, disabilities, or medications that may affect my ability to safely participate.

I acknowledge that the Instructor is not a medical professional and cannot provide medical advice. It is my responsibility to consult my doctor or healthcare provider if I am unsure whether participation is appropriate for me.

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Jack George, Social Steps Dance Classes, Amber Tree Yoga Studio, and their respective officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, or expenses arising from or related to my participation in the Classes.

This release includes, without limitation, claims arising from the negligence of the Instructor or any other released parties, unless caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jack George and Social Steps Dance Classes from any and all claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of my participation in the Classes, to the extent caused by my own negligence, breach of this agreement, or failure to follow the Instructor's directions.

5. Photography & Media

I consent to photographs, video recordings, and other media being captured during Classes and to their use by Social Steps Dance Classes on social media, the website, and promotional materials, unless I expressly notify the Instructor otherwise before my first class.

6. Payment & Attendance

I understand that:

• My first class is free.
• Subsequent classes are $15 per class, payable by 4:30pm the Wednesday prior.
• Classes run every Thursday, 4:45pm – 5:30pm at Amber Tree Yoga Studio, 284 Graceville Avenue, 4075.
• Spaces are limited and are subject to availability.

7. Privacy

Personal information collected during registration is used only for the purpose of managing your enrolment, safety, and insurance obligations. It will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or where necessary for emergency medical treatment.

8. Rules of Participation

• Follow all instructions given by the Instructor at all times.
• Inform the Instructor immediately of any pain, discomfort, or dizziness during class.
• Wear appropriate flat, supportive footwear at all times during class.
• Respect fellow participants and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Arrive on time and allow adequate time for warm-up.
